What is Core War?
Core War is a game
played between two or more program written in Redcode, a low-level language
similar to assembly. Players write a program to
eliminate all opponents in the memory of the
MARS virtual computer.
Core War can also be used as a platform to experiment with genetic programming.
The first issue of CoreOps has been published.
This issue investigates Agony- & Ecstasy-style scanners, featuring Excalibur and Kusanagi.
The Valentine Tournament is over.
First place was taken by Basilisk B 8, closely followed by Monolith, Zygote and Scorpion.
First place in the Halloween Tournament was claimed
by Core of Duty with an impressive 45 point lead.
